The Old School treehouse has two levels, each with a bed, with a spare bed possible but no more than five people can stay at a time. The bathroom and toilet are in the main building. The cozy cabin building has electricity and heat, with lots of greenery around the outside. In the center of Murnau, it is just a 5 minute walk to the pedestrian zone, 10 minutes to the Trauma-Center Unfallklink Murnau.
The tiny cabin buiding is rustic and unique, perfect for backpackers, individualists, and cyclists, something between a bivouac and hotel. This unique vacation rental is a special hideaway next to the center of Murnau. On the upper floor there is a comfortable bed, a makeshift bed that comes with a sofa, and a third part of sleeping. The lower floor has space for two people with a second bed. The tiny cabin building has duvets with linen and towels that are provided. There are noiseless electric heaters on each level of the cabin building, so you can stay cozy and warm even in the cold winter season. You can also get extrabedliners that are provided if needed. The cabin building has electricity, there is a record player and a Hifi system on the upper floor. On the lower floor there is a small library to keep you busy during your stay, with books to include literary classics such as Goethe, Schiller, Shakespeare and modern-day literature. There is a radio with a CD-player. There is a bathroom and a guest toilet that are just 30 meters to the main house available for shared use.
The living environment is the Ainmillerpark, just above the central church, and not far away from the castle. There is free parking directly in front of the tiny house. There is bike (2 trekking-bikes) with rentals possible, about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the station, a 5 minute walk to the central pedestrian street, a 3 minute walk to the castle, 8 to10 minutes to the Trauma Hospital Murnau. The cabin building is lockable. There are keys and flashlights at night if you need to go to the main house. Use of kitchen in the main house is by arrangement, with grilling possible, a double deep fryer in the summer kitchen and a pizza-oven that is said to be legendary.

Murnau is on the edge of the Bavarian Alps which is about 43 miles south of the city of Munich. Directly to the west is Staffelsee lake and to the south are the peaks and the ridges of the Ammergau Alps. The mountain range is formed by the Alpspitze and the Zugspitze in the south and the Walchensee and Kistenkar mountains in the southeast.
