Inspired by Travel and Minimalism

She wanted a tiny house she could build herself, inspired by her traveling the world for a very long time. After four years of the traveling lifestyle, she realized that she would like a place that she could call her home. Since she had minimal possessions that only included a car and two boxes full of pots and books, she opted for a tiny house design, even though she knew nothing about its construction. Two years ago, however, she embarked on a project of her own tiny house on wheels, and you can see the finished result in the photo gallery. You are sure to be inspired by how she managed to carry out the tiny house construction and the experience that she went through.

Learning Through Community and Adventure

If you have ever wondered how you too can build a tiny house without experience you'll want to take a look at her experience. Since Bernie is a creative woman who is not afraid to embark on new things, she intended to build her tiny house together with new friends in a small workshop. So she took part in volunteer work as part of the construction of tiny houses to learn at least the basics of building, this is a great idea for anyone who is new to building. Originally she did not intend to finish the tiny house on her own, but because of the timing she had no other choice, as you can see, she did a great job. In the end, she managed to build the tiny house, taking a year, and the result is what she wanted it to be. It was a great adventure.

A Beautiful Idea: La Belle Idee

You'll want to watch the quarter-hour video about this beautiful and inspiring tiny house building. The tiny house is named La Belle Idee, which means a beautiful idea. The tiny house is connected to the public network, there is also a stove inside. The dimensions of Berni's tiny house design are 6.15 meters by 2.55 meters by 4.20 meters (length x width x height). When it came to the design of the exterior, Bernie liked the vision of something simple and solid, which was matched by wooden panels. At the same time, she was worried about the heat surge in the summer, as the building material for the roof became galvanized steel, which reflects the sun in summer. The tiny house is connected to the public network. It doesn't have rainwater harvesting facilities yet, but it's planned for a few months. Among other things, there is a smaller stove and gas supply inside.
