The Starling: A Tiny House Design for a Growing Home

The Starling tiny house on wheels is a 33-foot long gooseneck tiny house designed for a growing family. The tiny house has a master loft bedroom and a second private bedroom on the main floor, with plenty of space for an office, a kid’s room, a studio, or whatever else that your family might need some extra space. The Starling tiny house on wheels has all the comforts of home in a modern design you will be sure to love. The outside has an all wooden exterior, while inside there are white walls and ceiling with dark wooden floors and trim. There are plenty of windows to let in just the right amount of natural light, but still, offer the privacy you need. The kitchen has wooden countertops with lots of space for preparing meals and lots of kitchen cabinets for storage.

Some of the highlights of the Starling tiny house on wheels include the convertible seating and dining area that has tons of storage underneath, the master upstairs loft accessible by stairs with a built-in closet, the custom aluminum art piece railing designed by local Vancouver Island artist Wroughtenart and the second private bedroom with six foot six inch ceilings. Other features in the Starling tiny house on wheels include the seven-foot tall ceilings in the bathroom, an entry closet, high-efficiency fridge with a bottom freezer, a propane 24-inch range oven, forced air propane heating, on-demand propane water heat, a combo washer and dryer, bathtub and a composting toilet.

Rewild Homes was started with the hope to fill a niche and to support a movement of living simply, doing more and using less. Their compact, portable, high-quality, cabin buildings are built on Vancouver Island using building materials that are locally sourced. They are simple, specialized and sustainable. They started this tiny house company to follow their dream of making a difference in the community and began by offering an alternative to the high housing prices that so many people are facing across British Columbia. They started with Vancouver Island in mind when people from all around the world began reaching out to them in hopes that they can help them achieve their goals of home-ownership and financial freedom. Most of their tiny homes stay on the west coast, either on Vancouver Island or in the lower mainland of British Columbia, but they have shipped homes across North America and even as far as Hawaii.

The number one goal with Rewild Homes is to help make home-ownership affordable for everyone. Every Rewild tiny home is 100 percent custom, but if you’re more of the hands-off type, they also offer full design services to help craft your tiny home. They work with you every step of the way to help resolve everything from the tiny house layout and trailer size right down to the fixtures in your shower and the color of your walls. Their focus is on using local, high-quality building materials and fixtures to ensure that every one of their tiny homes meets the highest standards of luxury, sustainability and longevity.
