The Grantham Lakehouse Barn Home Features a Very Unique Floor Plan

Yankee Barn Homes created this Grantham Lakehouse post and beam barn home as an archetypal barn home with lots of barn features.

From the bell tower at the top to the gorgeous wood sliding barn doors, this home definitely looks like a classic barn from the outside, but on the interior, it's a much different story. The sliding wood barn doors on the outside open to reveal the true entrance into the home which is through two French glass doors. Opening into the entranceway of the home where there is a beautiful staircase and a lovely seating room with a fireplace. This design doesn't have an open concept living space like the other homes from Yankee Barn Homes, since the living room is part of the main entrance and then the kitchen and dining area are off to one side. The kitchen is a beautiful space surrounded by windows making the room bright and open. The dining area is close by with a large table to gather around and french doors leading out to the deck. The generous sized oven and stove combo would be the best place to make family meals, and there is also a dishwasher and a wine fridge as well as a large sink with a window above it.

Through the kitchen, there's also a mudroom which is the perfect place to store shoes and coats as well as other outdoor items.

The laundry room is also through the mudroom as well, and there's a pantry for even more storage. On the other side of the living room area is a study which would be great for working from home, providing a nice quiet place to go.
