The Mansfield Hollow Cottage is a post and beam cottage so on the interior you can see the gorgeous posts and beams throughout the home. On the main floor, there are 1032 square feet, and then there are 757 square feet on the second floor, plus there's also a basement that is finished, and they added more living space or bedroom space. The footprint of the cottage is perfect for the lot which is very narrow and long, which is what made it challenging for the designers. They used cedar shingles painted a lovely seafoam green and stone on the outside which creates that classic cottage looks with a gorgeous wooden door for the front entrance. The home features lower ceilings, but that doesn't make it feel any smaller at all. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to one another creating a great communal space for the owners to entertain in and to have daily interactions. The basement area also features plenty of space to play games and enjoy some relaxation. It's a garden level basement with French door access to the yard which also makes it a great area to enjoy. The master bedroom, which is on the main floor includes an ensuite bathroom which can also be accessed from the entry hall so there is a bathroom people can use on the main floor. The other bedrooms and bathroom are located on the top level giving them some nice privacy and great views.
