Raspberry Cottage on JindyDale Farms

Take a look inside of the Raspberry Cottage on Jindy Dale Farms in this newly constructed one-room space perfect for a couples vacation away. The cozy cottage can accommodate up to 2 guests in a studio-style vacation home with 1 bed and 1 bathroom. The Raspberry Cottage is the perfect place to relax in a peaceful, rural setting. From the front porch, you can view the green pastures where on some days you can watch the newborn calves as they run and play with each other. Raspberry Cottage has one main room that contains a tv area, a small kitchenette with a table and 2 chairs, and a queen-sized bed. There is a separate small bathroom with a shower. The kitchen area has a microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker, and a small refrigerator with a Brita pitcher for cold water. Locally roasted coffee is available as well as various tea bags. During your vacation stay some simple snacks are also provided for you to enjoy along with games, movies, and books.

You will have the small cottage plan all to yourself but you are free to roam through the garden areas around the main house and enjoy sitting on the numerous benches and swings located here and there. You can also walk across the farm after speaking with the owner for directions on where to go and what gates to be sure of and close behind you. There are two dogs and two cats all of which love attention from anyone.

The farm is bordered by quiet neighborhoods so it is a residential area but you can be in the heart of Cookeville in less than 10 minutes where there are many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The Raspberry Cottage is only 2 miles from I-40 and within an hour's drive to several state parks with waterfalls and hiking trails. Cookeville is located about an hour and a half from Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga so you can easily visit any of those cities in a day and be back for bedtime.

The Nashville and Knoxville Railroad was completed in Cookeville in 1890, and the city is known for its quiet history and southern charm. Locals and tourists love to frequent the Cookeville History Museum and Children's Museum, and a visit to the Derryberry Art Gallery is great for fine art seekers. The town of Cookeville is known as one of the best spots for nature seekers and outdoorsy folk in the state of Tennessee. The area is rife with a stunning natural topography, and the small-town feel of Cookeville itself is great for slow Saturday afternoons with a glass of iced tea in hand.

During your vacation stay in Cookeville, you might experience the beauty of the wooded hiking trails, canyon gorges, and rushing rivers that run through the area. There's ample opportunity to go hiking, camping, boating, and even fishing in the nearby area. Three state parks are accessible through Cookeville to include Burgess Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park, and Cummins Falls State Park. Each of them is well-known for its natural beauty and waterfalls.
