Joshua Tree is an American national park located in southeastern California, east of the city of Los Angeles.
The park is near Palm Springs and San Bernardino. The park is named after Joshua Trees (Yucca brevifolia) which are native to the Mojave Desert. If you've never visited the park you are in for a treat, as the scenery and landscape are like nothing you've seen before. Joshua Tree has two distinct desert ecosystems to include the Mojave and Colorado, which come together in the park. There is a variety of animals and plants that make their homes in a landscape that is sculpted by the strong winds and occasional torrents of rain.
