Historical Significance of Amboise

The city of Amboise is famous for the Clos Luce manor house which is where Leonardo da Vinci lived and ultimately died. Leonardo da Vinci lived there at the invitation of King Francis I of France, and whose Chateau d'Amboise dominated the town.
