A Customized Combination Barn Home With Incredible Features

Stunning Barn Home Design

The gambrel roof lines might give it away, but this home is a barn home through and through. This particular home is located in Maryland where it sits on a gorgeous piece of country land with a little lake right in front of it. The 36 foot by 60-foot barn home is combined with another 24 foot by 48-foot addition to make it a spacious and open home with plenty of room for the entire family. The home was created from Sand Creek Post And Beam's original designs and customized to suit the owner's needs. No matter which design is chosen, each of the homes from Sand Creek Post And Beam features gorgeous post and beam timber frame construction. This type of construction is not only super durable and stable, but it also looks beautiful on the inside of the home as well. This home and many of their other homes have been used as full-time residences, but other models they have built end up being used as cabins, apartments, or guesthouses. Some people also use them as a combination of home and barn buildings. All of the barn homes are pre-manufactured and then shipped as a kit, and built to right on the customer's property. They specialize in building homes, barns, and commercial buildings, and they have many different beautiful barn homes in their portfolio.

Ideal for Ranch Living

The combination barn and home is a great idea for people who live on a ranch and have horses since the horses would be kept right close by and easy to access. That way they wouldn't have to go outside in the cold or in the rain to feed and groom the horses. This particular home doesn't seem to have the feature of an attached barn area, but it definitely has a matching barn on site. The exterior of this home looks so much like a barn as well with the beautiful buttercream yellow and a muted red that look very nice together and give off the essence of country living. The gambrel roof is what reminds us of barn construction, but it carries over very nicely to this home, especially with the long porch out front. That would be the perfect place to sit out on some rocking chairs to enjoy the scenery any time of day. The home is built using timber frame construction which ensures the most strong and supportive preliminary structure. You can also see the amazing exposed beams on the inside of the home in the open living room. One of the great features in the living room is the great built-in bookshelves and storage that line the walls. Great for people who have a lot of books or movies. They have even extended the library to the upper loft area.

Beautiful Interiors and Functional Layout

The fireplace is also another great area of the home with stunning stonework and a nice mantle. The kitchen is open to the living room with seating at the island for easy conversation, and there is plenty of counter space for making amazing meals. The bedrooms are equally as beautiful as the rest of the home, and the master bedroom even includes an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub. These barn style homes are so stylish, and Sand Creek Post and Beam feature many amazing barn homes on their website. You can see the interiors of some of the other barn homes they have built, and you can see just how stylish they can be. They show us that just because you live in a home that looks like a barn on the outside doesn't mean it has to look like one on the inside. In fact, not at all.
