The unique cabin building is located in Katikati, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and can accommodate up to 2 guests with one bedroom, one bed, and one bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire cabin building to yourself. If you've ever wanted to stay in a real treehouse, here's your chance. The Tui Treehouse cabin building is situated at the bottom of a large garden with views out to the Kaimai Ranges. The treehouse is off-grid with no electricity just 12-volt lights and the sound of birds. Nearby the treehouse is an enclosed outdoor hot shower/toilet that overlooks the river below and the Kaimai Ranges. This cabin building is perfect for couples who are wanting a romantic and private space and solo adventurers.

Cozy Cabin with Scenic Surroundings

The cozy cabin building has a spiral staircase that winds around the tree trunk up to an amazing, totally private space with its deck. Native Tui birds and several other native birds will be singing and flying by throughout your vacation stay. This cozy treehouse is situated at the bottom of a large garden and is completely off-grid, so just solar lights are available for a romantic and quiet stay. You'll wake up to bird song all around and when it's raining outside you'll enjoy the calming sound of raindrops on the roof. Under the treehouse, you'll find a hammock for complete relaxation. The owners grow organic fruit and vegetables which can be shared with guests of the treehouse when in season. There is an outdoor lounge with fireplace and barbecue is close by.

Shared Amenities and Guest Considerations

There is a shared guest kitchenette/lounge that is available for guests to use beside the main house. There is also a guest barbecue that is located nearby in the quaint summer house with seating and a lovely garden view. The treehouse cabin building is up high, with a spiral staircase to navigate and solar lighting, so you'll want to be sure and keep this in mind when packing. Parking for the treehouse is under a large tree beside the driveway and the cabin building is a short walk away, so the owners ask that you do not drive across the lawn to park close to the treehouse. There is a shared enclosed outdoor bathroom may be shared with other guests.

Convenient Location and Accessibility

The treehouse is situated 10 kilometers south of Katikati or 25 minutes from Tauranga. It's a good idea to do your grocery shopping before you arrive at either Katikati or Bethlehem. The treehouse cabin building does not have power, so its a great place to unplug and take in nature. The treehouse is not suitable for dogs. The treehouse cabin building is just an easy two-hour drive from Auckland airport. The beautiful Coromandel is within driving distance. From the treehouse, Rotorua is just over an hour's drive away and Hobbiton is also close by. The treehouse is located halfway between Waihi Beach and Mt Maunganui Beaches. It is best to come by car.
