This 2019 Teardrop Camper is just one of the things you will find for sale on Facebook Marketplace. The camper is red and the outside with a beige interior. The camper is 13 feet long by 6.5 feet wide with a height of 6.6 feet and weighs 1,212 pounds. The teardrop camper has a storage room for the battery and other equipment. Other features of the camper include cabinets, kitchen cabinets, a gas stove, fridge, sunroof with mosquito net, tailgate lighting, battery, indoor LED light, outdoor lighting, a mattress, and a stove. This teardrop camper is beautifully finished inside and out, and the perfect trailer to set you up for summers of camping.

History and Popularity of Teardrop Trailers

This teardrop camper is similar to the teardrop trailers that were made in the early 1900s that you can still find available for sale secondhand. Many people buy the trailers second-hand and then refinish them to bring them up to date. Teardrop trailers have been around for a long time, and in the 1930s the campers became quite popular. From then on, the campers have been a go-to trailer that's easy to tow and affordable to buy. While teardrop trailers are still made in newer models to the current regulations and specifications, it's nice to have a vintage look with a custom trailer or a refinished vintage one. This teardrop could sleep two adults so it could be the perfect way for a couple to travel around together. Since this camper is so small it can be towed by most vehicles easily, and it also comes with a built-in electronic brake controller. You could even add some solar panels to make it very energy efficient and off-grid. This means you could practically take it camping anywhere where trailers are allowed.

Size and Practicality for Travel

While this camper could not be lived in full-time, it would be a nice size of a camper to take traveling, even for longer trips. Larger campers have been turned into small mobile homes, but they are usually at least 16 feet long at the minimum. They are also usually wider at 8.5 feet wide instead of 4.6 like this camper trailer is and small mobile homes also usually have higher ceilings too with a maximum height of 13.6 feet high. The reason tiny houses on trailers have to be within these guidelines is to fit on the highway so they can be towed safely without a pilot vehicle or a special permit to tow them.

Advantages of Smaller Campers

The smaller the micro house or camper, the easier it will be to tow, and a small trailer like this teardrop one could even possibly be towed by a smaller car. Smaller campers will also save you gas since it doesn't weigh a lot. If you're considering buying one of these teardrop campers, this one might even inspire you to build your own if you're handy with that kind of stuff or to buy a custom one if you prefer the vintage look, but want a brand new camper. This type of teardrop camper would last for years of use if it was properly maintained.
