The shipping container home was inspired by the owner's time spent overseas in the Marine Corps when they used to live in steel shipping containers long before the mainstream adopted the idea. They knew that one day when they had the time and money, they were going to build a beautiful tiny house out of the steel boxes that provided them so much warmth and shelter. Their heart and soul went into building this tiny home, and hope that you will enjoy all the little details, which were made with a 3D printer or built from scratch.

Guests of the tiny home have access to pretty much anything you see in the backyard. Features include a hot tub, kayaks, pond, and a greenhouse. All they ask is that you be respectful and leave things the same as you found them. All pets are welcome. Just let them know if you're bringing one so they can put the old man bunny Abdre in with the other bunnies. VM Ybor is a working-class neighborhood that is historically beautiful to Tampa Bay. Although beautiful, parts of the area may not look quite as nice but it's just because this neighborhood has old bones and even older history. The people that live in the area know each other's names, wave, and still have that neighborly spirit.

Historical Significance of the Local Chickens

If you've been in Ybor for more than 5 minutes you will notice all the chickens. They came to the area during the late 1800s when Ybor was being built by mostly Cuban Immigrants. Although the roosters can be loud, they are protected by the city and are direct descendants of the first chickens who gave the builders eggs. You'll be sure to enjoy this unique tiny house vacation experience.
