Unique Design and Spacious Layout

A stunning East Hampton barn home built by Yankee Barn Homes features 3,442 square feet of living space with a unique design. The post and beam timber frame home may not look like what you would think a barn home would look like, but it definitely has a lot of charm and that classic post and beam structure. This home has a total of 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms with an attached garage for even more storage space. The home has a gorgeous Spanish or Italian style to it which makes it look like it's been a part of the area for years. The home features a creamy light yellow stucco siding with black accents including two sets of French doors, one on the main floor and one on the upper floor leading out to a balcony overlooking the yard and the lovely pool. There are also two brick chimneys for the fireplaces within the home that keep it nice and toasty. On the interior, the home is modern, with a hint of classic timber frame style, and exposed beams throughout the home. The main floor of the barn home enters into the great room which is very cozy thanks to the fireplace in the centre of the room. Then, in a separate space is the kitchen and then the dining room as well as another sitting room that's nice and open with a lovely fireplace and plenty of windows surrounding to make it feel like the room is an extension of the outdoors.

Modern Kitchen and Functional Spaces

The kitchen includes an abundance of cabinets, all painted grey with white quartz countertops for a fresh look. All appliances are stainless steel, and the dining room area features metal chairs with a farmhouse style table. Another set of French doors leads out to the garden outside and would be great for dining outdoors on nice days. Off the kitchen, there is a mudroom that leads into the garage which is the perfect drop of station for boots, coats and other items. There's also a half bathroom beside the mudroom as well. On the other side of the home is the guest bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom and then a linen closet in the hallway. Then, on the second floor, there are more bedrooms including the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and the french doors leading out to the half balcony. There's also a great walk-in closet and tons of windows and high ceilings for a dramatic effect. The other two bedrooms on the second floor also have their own bathrooms as well, and there is even a study up there too. The home would be perfect for full-time living or to use as a very spacious vacation home. It's a very luxurious home with a lot of country style touches making it feel very warm and welcoming.

Customization and Energy Efficiency

Yankee Barn Homes builds a variety of barn home styles anywhere from classic barn homes with gambrel roof lines and red paint, to more contemporary models like this home. Customers can choose from their existing floor plans and customize them to their needs and preferences, or, they can have a completely new plan drawn up for them if they want specific design concepts implemented. One of the great things about Yankee Barn Homes is their custom panelling system in both their roof and wall systems. They use their own patent-pending systems that allow for ease of construction as well as energy efficiency. They use ridged foam insulation which provides the highest R-value per inch of thickness, so with one of their homes you're getting R 55.3 to R 66.5). Each panel has two crisscrossing layers of insulation to reduce the heat escape and to keep the home nice and warm. They also built in a roof vent space which is required by most roofing material manufacturers. It also minimizes the accumulation of ice and keeps shingles in good shape for a long time.
