Stay in a lovely log cabin surrounded by forest and creeks. The Crossing Creek Log Cabin has everything you could ever need and want in a log cabin vacation and more. This log cabin is located just 5 minutes away from Nashville, Indiana but on this property, guests will feel like they are out in the country. You'll see lots of wild turkey and deer out at this property as well as birds and lots of different plants. The log cabin itself is a single loft log cabin with a king-size bed and one bathroom. It was built around a lovely stone fireplace in a rustic, traditional style. The stone fireplace dates back to pre-Civil War times though and has the original swing arm for cooking over the fire. The log cabin was the homestead of a resident artist Edith Hale in the 1960s who loved the surrounding property for all of the inspiration she got for her paintings. It's easy to fall in love with such a beautiful place like this charming log cabin set in the woods. The rustic log cabin also has all of the typical modern amenities and more. Including a hot tub out on the deck for a relaxing soak at the beginning of the day or at night time to admire the starry sky. There's also an area to have an outdoor fire as well and a large supply of firewood.
This log cabin looks gorgeous from the outside, and even more so on the inside believe it or not. The soaring cathedral ceilings give more height to the living room making it feel large and open. The sofa and chairs are placed perfectly around the fireplace where guests can sit and enjoy the fire. The dining area has a large table with lots of seating thanks to the benches and also space at either end for more people to sit. There is also a newly installed 55 inch HD screen TV in the living room with satellite programming and DVDs. Near to the living room is the small but fully functional kitchen with everything guests need to make homemade meals. There's an apartment sized fridge and a small stove. Plus a microwave and a coffee maker. There's also even a blender for those who like making smoothies for breakfasts and snacks. All of the cookware and dishes are provided as well which means no paper plates so you'll actually feel like you're right at home.
Right next to the kitchen is the staircase leading upstairs to the loft bedroom area which is nice and cozy with high ceilings once again which really open it up. The comfortable king sized bed is luxurious with all linens included. This would be such a great place to get a good night's rest and wake up with the views of the surrounding forest right out the window. The log cabin only has one bed, so it's best for only a couple making for a super romantic getaway. It also features a full bathroom with a shower, vanity and flushing toilet, so you don't have to worry about using an outhouse while staying at this log cabin. This log cabin is for luxurious stays and not so much for the camping style of log cabin getaway. There's even central air conditioning and heat in the log cabin keeping it warm or cool depending on the weather outside. This would be the perfect place for a very secluded and romantic stay. There is also the sister cabin called Covered Bridge if this one is all booked up. How lovely would a weekend away in this cabin be?
