The log cabin itself is a single loft log cabin with a king-size bed and one bathroom. It was built around a lovely stone fireplace in a rustic, traditional style. The stone fireplace dates back to pre-Civil War times though and has the original swing arm for cooking over the fire. The log cabin was the homestead of a resident artist Edith Hale in the 1960s who loved the surrounding property for all of the inspiration she got for her paintings.
