And if you just want to stay in you can relax in the hot tub, hang out on the deck, or by the fireplace.

The Casa Minnewaska vacation home is only 2 hours from New York City. This bright 3 bedroom house has a wraparound deck and sits on 5 acres of gorgeous green property. The house is perfect for any weekend getaway or a vacation with family and friends. Year-round, guests to the cabin can soak in the outdoor hot tub, stargaze from the porch, and roast marshmallows around the secluded fire pit with mountain views of the Catskills. You can walk through the backyard straight into Minnewaska State Park, home to hundreds of trails for hiking and some of the best climbing in the northeast. You can spend the summer weekends, camping, hiking, and grilling outside.

Winter Activities and Nearby Attractions

During the winter months, you can enjoy nearby winter hiking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. The cabin is also a quick 20 minutes to the Shawangunk Mountains (also known as the Gunks), famous among rock climbers and home to waterfalls like Verkeerderkill, Awosting, Buttermilk, and VerNooykill. If you enjoy fishing just walk down the driveway to the Rondout creek.

The house has two floors with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen with dishwasher, living room with Sonos speakers and a working wood stove. The bedroom downstairs has 2 full-sized beds and two bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a king-sized bed with an ensuite bathroom and private balcony. Guests to the cabin will find the home stocked with all the necessary amenities including towels, linens, and kitchen basics as well as toiletries. The Wal-Mart is 5 minutes away and you have quick access to several restaurants in Kerhonkson, Accord, High Falls, Stone Ridge, and Rosendale. New Paltz is just 25 minutes away. There is excellent cell phone service throughout the entire vacation property.
