Captivating Views and Comfortable Accommodations

When the tide goes out abruptly, you can see the different layers on the ground, a beautiful sandy beach, then the stones with sand. The Coo has three rooms each one with king-sized beds that are convertible into two twins. The rooms have private access to the beach, with spacious terraces and stunning views to the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The bed and breakfast has a comfortable lounge and a cozy kitchen that are available for guests to use free of charge. The Coo rooms have been decorated with neutral tones along with local handicrafts. The Coo architectural design has been carefully thought out to allow guests to enjoy the natural treasure of this magic place.

Unique Eco-Friendly Design Elements

These eco buildings are the perfect way to enjoy the stunning beauty of this location. From the moment you set eyes on each of the rooms you know you are in for a unique bed and breakfast experience. The exterior with its rusty corrugated metal fits in perfectly with its natural beach location. Inside the rooms have natural wood on the walls and ceiling with natural kitchen cabinets and some of the rusted corrugated metal showing through. The simple interior helps to showcase the scenic view of the ocean and the surrounding natural beauty. The floors and the shower use concrete, as a building material that further lends to the organic feel of the place.

Choosing Sustainable Building Materials

When it comes to eco building, you will want to consider different building materials. One option is to use reclaimed wood and timber. Wood is another option and versatile raw building material and the only renewable construction building material. Wooden cabin buildings are usually characterized by a combination of different components that together deliver the best possible thermal, acoustic, load bearing and moisture insulation, fire resistance and long life. Increasing the proportion of wood in cabin building can also warrant a reduction in the use of other construction building materials, such as steel, concrete, and brick. These construction building materials don't come from renewable raw building materials; they require a great deal of energy in their production, and they have higher emissions of carbon dioxide.

The Benefits of Using Wood in Eco Building

Wood can replace other building materials in many structures while providing the same amount of functionality. In eco building wood is a good replacement of other building materials whose production requires the use of fossil fuels and causes higher carbon emissions. Using wood that comes from sustainably managed forests is one of the best building materials you can use in your eco-building.

Water Conservation in Eco-Friendly Home Design

Another thing to consider when trying to make your home design more eco-friendly is to get serious about water. Being truly eco-friendly means that you'll need to get serious about saving water. It's important to be sure there are no leaks. Another good idea is to install a low-flow shower-head, these have been shown to save up to 42,000 gallons of water for a family of four a year.
