The Bears Den is a unique, two-bedroom log cabin that provides excellent accommodation for family and friends or couples wishing to get away from it all and enjoy a luxurious romantic break while making treasured memories to last a lifetime. The cabin building offers ground floor accommodation, comprising of a spacious open floor plan living area with sitting, dining, and kitchen areas all for enjoying the benefits of the large picture window with far-reaching views onto the nearby falls. On the same floor, you'll find two spacious bedrooms with a super king-sized and a king-sized double bedroom, both with modern en-suite facilities which add further to the feeling of luxury and enjoyment.
The main patio doors lead outside to a spacious decked area with a luxurious hot tub, making this an ideal spot to relax, take in the beautiful surroundings, sunbathe and enjoy the soothing waters of the hot tub, or use the large sauna. The cabin is equipped to a very high standard with Smart TV, individual heating controls, Bose speakers, and underfloor heating to name but a few to ensure that guests are well-catered for during their vacation stay. The cabin has fabulous log walls, beamed ceilings, and stylish furnishings that all combine to create a very special atmosphere and one that will live long in the memory of your visit to this special place.
The log cabin is part of Olicana Park sited on the banks of the River Wharfe. When the current owners first came across the site in 2016 it had been a caravan park for many years that needed some love, and they knew they could create a home away from home for their guests, one which would keep them coming back time after time. All that was needed was some elbow grease and a vision. The owner's vision for Olicana extended above the existing caravans. The site has dramatically changed and is a vast improvement from the previous incarnation. They saw that there could be three distinct parts to the park, after much planning they knew this was going to take the form of four cottages, five luxury wood cabins, and the twenty-nine static caravans plus a fully fitted cabin cafe bistro.
Olicana Park enjoys the benefit of being in a hidden-away corner of the village, down by the riverside, while also being a short stroll from Addingham’s enviable village center, which includes some well-renowned pubs and restaurants, serving excellent food and real ale. Beautiful walks can be enjoyed during your vacation stay following the river will bring you to the ancient Bolton Abbey where you can stop for a cream tea before heading back. There’s also an excellent golf course within easy reach of Addingham. Nearby towns and villages worth a visit include Skipton, Ilkley which are ideal for shopping, while glorious Malham and Grassington offer beautiful, limestone scenery a short drive away. For the more energetic the bike riding and walking opportunities to be found in the surrounding area are also excellent.
