History and Renovation of The Upper House

The Upper House bungalow started life over 20 years ago as a milking shed, and has since been converted to various uses. The Upper House was gutted in 2015 and renovated into a private guest wood cabin. The various elements from the original shed have been preserved, such as the block walls, the exposed steel beams on the ceiling, the concrete floor, and the large openings that are used to accommodate roller doors.

Stunning Views and Relaxation

The Upper House cabin building sits on the highest point of the land, hence its name. The bungalow has panoramic views of Lake Baroon, the surrounding hills and woods, and huge skies. The cabin building invites you to spread out and do nothing too strenuous. During your vacation stay, you can sit back on the couch and look out for hours at the light changing over the water and land, with your music playing over the Bluetooth Harmon Kardon speaker. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a bathroom with a sunken bath. During your vacation stay, you can watch wallabies feed outside the floor-to-ceiling windows at dusk. You can sit on the lawn at 2 am and take in the stars and Milky Way.

Modern Amenities and House Rules

The Upper House has free wifi, Bluetooth Harmon Kardon speaker, built-in USB charging points in the dining area and by the bed, and complimentary bathrobes and slippers.
