The Kanadisches Blockhaus Log Home is the Perfect Mix of Traditional and Modern

Modern Elegance Meets Traditional Design

This log house is surprisingly stylish and modern on the inside, which is unexpected because of the traditional style on the exterior. From the outside, the log home is a mix of round logs and earth building which makes for a very natural looking home that fits perfectly in nature. The log cabin is also perched up on a hill allowing for spectacular views of the property that is full of lush greenery and plants. The vacation log cabin is located in Mecklenburg, Western Pomerania, Germany which is a beautiful area of Germany in the north, just north of Berlin and also close to a large lake called Pauer See which would be fun to go swimming in or boating on. Guests staying at the log cabin can check in in the afternoon and enjoy everything that the log cabin has to offer including free WiFi and TV. Also notably on the property is a jacuzzi which would be perfect for relaxing in and enjoy after a fun day. The patio and garden also makes for the best surroundings for the jacuzzi and to also just sit in a chair and enjoy the surroundings. Nearby, there is also a heated swimming pool, scuba diving and water sports facilities on site. There is also a mini golf course, fishing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, hiking trails and cycling nearby.

Stylish Interiors with Modern Comforts

The 2-bedroom log cabin is stunning and unique on the inside with a very modern style. There is a mixture of rounded natural log walls and plaster walls which provides a great mix of traditional log cabin style and modern home style. The living room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite as well as a cozy leather couch that fits perfectly into the corner of the room. Across from the couch is a modern fireplace with copper venting for a unique and stylish look. The wood burning fireplace is perfect for warming up this log cabin, and since it's small and made out of wood, it will retain that heat very well. All of the furniture and cabinetry in the home is expertly crafted to fit the modern yet natural design scheme. The TV console fits perfectly into the living room under the TV and matches the kitchen countertops as well. Inside the fully equipped kitchen, there is an island with a built-in induction cooktop and a sink, with very interesting suspended lighting overhead. There are also two ovens installed on the wall behind that fit in with the surrounding cabinetry. A large stainless steel fridge will also hold plenty of groceries to make homemade meals.

Convenience and Comfort for Every Guest

There's also a dishwasher which makes clean up that much easier because who likes doing dishes while on vacation? The log home also has laundry machines so guests can feel free to do their laundry if need be while staying there. The bedroom features a large bed with all of the linens provided, so guests also don't have to worry about bringing their own sleeping bags or linens. All towels are also provided for the guests staying at the log cabin too. There is even a large closet in the bedroom for extra storage if you're staying for a longer trip. One of the coolest features is the spiral log staircase winding up to the upper level of the home which consists of a large full log or tree trunk in the centre and the wooden log stairs winding around it. The bathroom is pretty spectacular too with a large freestanding bathtub and a separate glass shower. This would be the place to stay if you're going to be in the Berlin area and want to have a little vacation away from the city.
