The Jungle House In Brazil Features a Stunning Design Inside and Out
Discover the Jungle House in Brazil, where innovative design meets nature, creating a stunning, functional family home in a lush rainforest setting.

Innovative Design and Cozy Interiors
A truly innovative and creative design from Studio MK27 a firm based in São Paulo, Brazil, the Jungle House has so much to love about it. The firm is led by Marcio Kogan who has also created a penthouse lined with many bookshelves. This home has a very interesting exterior but even more interesting is the interior where there is a sunken living room which makes for a cozy conversation space with plenty of comfortable furniture. This would be the perfect place for parties and gatherings or an awesome place to stay for the weekend with a group of people. Or perhaps even a co-housing situation. The home is made out of raw concrete and wood set in the rainforest which is lush with trees and greenery. Plus, the beach just steps away. The home is three-stories, and it's much taller than the others in the area with an amazing deck with a pool and a fire pit built into it. There's also a green roof which helps to keep the home connected to the natural world surrounding it, but it also helps to keep the inside of the home nice and cool on the balmy Brazilian days. The home is a family home believe it or not, even though it looks like the perfect place for a group of friends to live together, it's also perfect for kids too. Their rooms are on the first floor where there is also another deck. The other six bedrooms are on the second floor with a den, and most of the rooms have their own small balconies.
Harmony with Nature
The home is located on the Paulista shore where mountains and jungle converge. The customers and architects wanted to maintain symbiosis with the surrounding landscape creating a connection for the family living within to the land their home is on. They took advantage of the naturally open space in the landscape instead of creating another open space which would have meant cutting down trees and potentially ruining the ecosystem. Everything was designed and built to respect the existing land which promotes a natural interaction between nature and the building. The home only touches the ground with two solid pillars which is done not to disturb the land. The third floor is the social area where the pool is located as well as the kitchen and the living room. It's not a conventional home by any means at all, but it's definitely very functional for a family especially with young kids running around. This project began with a transversal cut that would allow for the pool built into the slab so the floor below wouldn't lose any space. This also provides the top level of the home with views of the ocean in the distance as well as the beautiful treetops in the jungle.
Minimalist Aesthetic and Family Functionality
The concrete fits in nicely with the natural surrounding forest and stone steps allow for easy and clean passage to the different parts of the home. It really feels like the perfect hideaway and would be a fabulous place to grow up. On the wooden deck, there is even a hot tub which looks out into the jungle and is level with the trees providing a lot of nice privacy and solitude. Everything is kept very minimal with the decor which lends well to the clean, modern architectural design. They chose a lot of great pieces of furniture that fit perfectly into the space making for a cozy, yet stylish home where there is little to no clutter or chaos. This home isn't just a lovely family home where memories will be created; it's also a work of art.
