The log cabin building is less than 10 minutes to Glacier Park West entrance and has scenic mountain views, a barbecue grill, and a private fire pit. This gorgeous, freshly renovated, rustic, and original Forest Service log cabin building was built in 1940 and is loaded with plenty of original charm. The log cabin building has all of the original wood and logs inside and out, with new chinking, plumbing, foundation, and electrical. This historic log cabin building will be a place you'll want to come back to year after year.

Current Construction and Pricing Adjustments

You'll want to note that the owners are currently working on the neighboring log cabins and getting them ready to rent as well, so, unfortunately, access to most of the yard is not available until mid to end of November. You'll want to take a look at the pictures on the site to see how the yard looks due to this construction work going on next door. However, there is still accessible from the outdoor porch to the fire pit, grill, and picnic table, and that area is not affected by the construction. The log cabin owners have reduced the price to reflect the reduced yard access. There may also be the occasional construction-related noise, though most, if not all, of the loud, large machinery noise is already completed. This rustic log cabin building provides the perfect home base for your vacation stay in Montana, with stunning mountain views right from your front covered porch.

Eco-Friendly Building Benefits

When it comes to eco-building, a log cabin is a good way to build green. Building green, from the log cabin design stage to log house construction is the right thing to do, both environmentally, and economically. Using timber in your log cabin design helps to create a building that is ecologically sound, aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. Timber that comes from well-managed forests is a great environmental choice. A log cabin design is a healthy, comfortable build, that has lower energy consumption overall.
