Sierra Meadows: Tiny Cabin Village Near Yosemite

Enjoy a vacation exploring Ahwahnee, California just outside of the Sierra National Forest and a short drive away from Yosemite National Park.

This is not regular camping, but a relaxing stay in a private cabin in the tiny cabin village of the Sierra Foothills. The village is just 20 miles away from the South Gate to Yosemite National Park and Mariposa Grove. So guests have so much to explore right outside their door. Shop Tiny Homes The cute arched cabins are on 1,300 acres of land just outside of Oakhurst, California. There are also lots of paths and ponds to explore right beside the property on an old golf course. They also provide bikes for free so people can ride around and explore the amazing scenery and landscape. Bring your dog too, because they are also pet-friendly and the surrounding parks are the perfect places for the dogs to run free. While staying at the tiny cabin's guest also have access to free wifi, books, cards and board games in the cabins, but no TVs so you can really unplug. But you could bring your laptop or iPad and watch Netflix with free WiFi. Each of the cute tiny cabins has it's own deck too, which would be perfect for relaxing at the end of a day of exploring or at the start of the day to begin on the right foot.

Each of the cabins includes a small kitchen with a full sized fridge, a microwave a two-burner induction cooktop, a sink and all of the dishes and utensils you need to make meals.

The living area includes the kitchen and a lounge area with a sofa and a little kitchen table and chairs. There are also beds in the cabins as well and depending on the size of cabin you book, there could be multiple bedrooms with bunk beds or a double bed. The cabins also include a bathroom with a flushing toilet, sink and a shower or a bathtub with a shower. They even include the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a dispenser right in the shower so you can leave yours at home if you don't want to pack it. They also provide towels and linens, so you're all set for your entire trip to be comfortable and cozy. For those who have RVs and campers, they also have some RV parking available, and possibly tenting spots too for those who want to camp the original way. The tiny arched cabins are a lot more basic and just have a double bed in them. Perfect for those who don't want to camp in a tent and don't have an RV but don't need a kitchen or bathroom.

Plus, there are so many birds to watch with over 130 different species on the property.

They have turkeys and great blue herons, as well as hummingbirds which are always so cool to see. While there is a pond in the village, there's also a pool which is great to have during the hot summers. It's located next to the clubhouse really close to the cabins. They also provide beach towels for the pool, and there are changing rooms and bathrooms right there as well. For those who want to stay out of the hot sun, they have a custom-made aluminum shade structure with 70% opacity to keep the sun away so you can enjoy being outside longer. The land itself has a very interesting past since thousands of years ago the Miwok Native Americans called it home. They spent summers in Yosemite Valley, as they called, Ahwahnee and then the winters were spent on the village property, and the people created two large villages there.
