See This Spacious and Wonderful Log Cabin In Colorado

You'll be sure to love this Alma, Colorado, United States modern cabin perfect for planning your family or group vacation with room for up to 12 guests, with 4 bedrooms, 8 beds, and 3 bathrooms. Depart from the ordinary and unwind in a cabin truly like no other. The cabin is just 17 miles to Breck and 5 miles to Fairplay, you’re close to activities, yet have your quiet base camp, as the property sits on 5 acres. Find yourself in awe of the grand logs of two pre-civil war cabins from Mississippi and Tennessee that were disassembled and transported to the Rocky Mountains in 2001 to create a one-of-a-kind vacation experience.

The cabin was created with families/groups of 10 to 12 in mind, it has everything needed for an enjoyable trip. The cabin has 2,000 square feet of room, with 2 queen bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. There is 1 queen master bedroom on the main floor with its bathroom. The master shower has full-body sprays, a loft above the main bedroom with 5 beds, an air mattress, a couch, games, smart and DirecTV, and plenty of board games and toys for kids of all ages. There is a bathroom with a shower/tub on the main floor. All bedrooms are equipped with humidifiers and white noise machines.

There is a living room with a fireplace (wood is supplied), two guitars, a vintage turntable and a vinyl collection, a Ms. Pac-Man game, and two smart TVs and DirecTV. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and dining table that seats 10, a hot tub, a large porch with plenty of seating, and a large BBQ grill. There is river, and fly fishing on the property, and several yoga mats, foam rollers, and resistance bands are supplied. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. Guest will have access to the entire property (cabin on 5 acres). The Internet can be spotty or even completely down. The cabin has the best/fastest internet available but that doesn’t equate to perfect consistency. The cabin sits at above 10,000-foot elevation and you could be affected. Research altitude sickness and prepare.

The cabin has rustic, unfinished wood floors, and slippers are recommended, especially for kids (occasional splinters). A 4-wheel drive is highly recommended in snowy months. The last section of the driveway is slightly steep and ices up, 2wd will not make it up when leaving the cabin, 2wd cars can park before the hill and walk down to the cabin, but you'll want to be aware it will be icy/snowy. The driveway is plowed in snowy months and the cleaner shovels the front steps/access to the front door. It may snow again before your arrival and you might have to shovel the front steps.

The cabin is on 5 acres and is adjacent to another 5 acres to the north that haven’t been built on. The closest house (to the south) and cabin are separated by a change in elevation so a sense of privacy is maintained. That property to the south has horses which are nice to see.
