There is a rowing boat by the river Lieksanjoki about 300 meters from the cabin with a path that leads to the shore and a canoe at the Hanhilampi-pond. Features of the rustic log cabin include oil lamp lighting, heating with wood heated stove, an open fireplace, no waterpipe so the water must be carried from the lake or well, no shower, a wood-heated sauna, outhouse, LPG stove, radio, barbecue, and no electricity.

The rapids of Ruunaa, a large uninhabited river are great for fishermen and from there they can try to catch trouts, graylings, and rainbow trouts. The river bank is only 300 meters away and to the best fishy rapids are just 900 meters away from the cabin. The berry and mushroom picking terrains are also near the log cabin.

Seasonal Activities and Accessibility
