The unique tiny house is situated on a hilltop that overlooks the breathtaking Ica Valley. The cozy tiny house building is located 35 minutes east of Masterton towards the beaches and just over 2 hours from Wellington. A common theme the owners keep hearing is that guests wish they were staying longer. During your vacation stay, you'll find that the day passes you by as you unwind in the hammock, cook by barbecue, play board games, or take an outdoor bath while sipping on wine and enjoying your beautiful surroundings. And on a clear night, you can enjoy stargazing.

Daytime Activities

There is also plenty of day time activities to enjoy in the area to include the Castlepoint beach which is very scenic with a couple of beautiful walks and is well worth taking a look. The Riversdale beach has a golf course, tennis courts and a store that you can grab some fish and chips or some ice cream to eat at the beach. Otahome beach is the perfect place to relax at a quiet secluded beach where you are unlikely to see anyone. Tinui has a lovely walk to the Anzac cross, which is the first Anzac memorial in the world. Tinui also has a local pub where you can enjoy great daytime and evening meals and is very welcoming and friendly.

Boating and Arrival Information

For boat enthusiasts, you can go just down the road from the glamping site and you'll find the Whareama river boat launch which leads out to sea. You'll want to let the owners know what time you will arrive a day or two before you check-in. They meet guests and will show them to the site and how a few things at the site work.

Whareama Coastal Walk

Before or after your stay you might try the Whareama Coastal Walk which is an excellent 2 or 3 day fully catered New Zealand walking experience over private farmland with beautiful Wairarapa coastline views. This walk is situated on the East Coast of the North Island and is Wairarapa's most versatile private walk business. They also have self-catered options for groups of 2 to 6 people, 2 days/one-night walk options and one day walk.

This walk has been designed with guests in mind and it doesn't matter if you are in a group, a couple, come and join like-minded people on this stimulating, challenging, and breath-taking walk. The walk starts at Whareama, which is situated between the popular beach resorts of Castlepoint and Riversdale on the East Coast, and it takes only 30 minutes to get there from Masterton and about a two hour to drive from Wellington or Palmerston North and 3 1/2 hours from the Hawke's Bay region.
