The perfectly located vacation rental is located in Sausalito, California, United States, and can accommodate up to 4 guests with 2 bedrooms, 2 beds, and 1.5 bathrooms. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire home to yourself. The floating tiny home in Sausalito is known affectionally by the owner's family, and soon perhaps yours, as Vicino Al Mare. Manifesting this tiny home spanned more than a decade from the thought-seed through enjoying Italian cappuccino on the southern facing courtyard. The houseboat is situated in the northernmost section of Sausalito in Kappas Marina, on Gate 6 1/2 road nicely positioned to treat guests to unobstructed views of Mount Tamalpais and the wildlife sanctuary of Richardson B.
As a guest to the houseboat, you will be welcome to use all of the floating homes. The houseboat also includes the floating dock on the mountainside of the tiny house that has a hot tub. The owners provide instructions on how to feed the chemicals to the hot tub after your use. Guests to the houseboat welcome to use all of the floating homes. The houseboats share common parking and use of common shopping carts to bring your goods to and from your cars. Although the dock has the main gate for entrance it is not locked when you arrive you just need to push the gate open and you’ll be able to get access to the dock and then the houseboat is about halfway down on the left. There is a lockbox that will provide you access to gain the key to the floating tiny home.
You can come and enjoy the floating tiny home with most everything provided for your enjoyment. As the owners live here as their primary residence there will be various sundries and staple goods that you will notice in the cupboards. The owners prefer you not to use those however if you need anything you'll just need to replace.
The floating tiny home is only 7 miles from San Francisco and 3.5 miles from Mill Valley. The houseboat is about 45 minutes from the wine country and one hour from Stanford. The beach is about a 10-minute drive from the houseboat if you go to Tennessee Valley or if you go to Stinson Beach about a 40-minute drive up over the mountain it’s such a beautiful area. You'll be close to the giant redwood trees which can easily be accessed via public transportation that you can walk to from the houseboat or you can also drive to and it takes about 25 or 30 minutes to get there.
From the airport, you can either rent a car or take the Marin County Airporter which starts at Manzanita, and then you can easily get a Uber from the Manzanita Park and ride to the floating home. When you are a guest at the Vicino Al Mare it is most convenient to have a car however Uber and Lyft do service the location. The houseboat is just 7 miles from San Francisco and to get there you can take a shared ride service or public transportation or the ferry service from Sausalito to downtown San Francisco.
