The tiny cabin can accommodate up to 4 guests with 215 square feet of space one bedroom and a full bath. The Helios is a micro-chalet in a magnificent woodland setting. It is located on Mont Tourbillon in Lac-Beauport. Shop Tiny Homes Trails are laid out all around the mountain with mountain biking, fat biking, snowshoeing, and hiking at the door. It is a huge playground affiliated with the Sentiers du Moulin outdoor center. The vacation rental is ideal for nature lovers, sportsmen, or simply for relaxing, the site is situated just 30 minutes from Quebec City. During your vacation stay, you can ride, eat, sleep, and more. This is a true glamping experience with high-quality comfort in the middle of the forest.
Helios is a cozy, two-story micro-chalet, yet each floor covers more than 215 square feet.
The chalet was specially designed so that the living room, located on the second floor, offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding woodlands and mountains as far as the eye can see, from the first glint of sunrise between Ste-Brigitte de Laval and Ile d'Orleans to the radiant sunset view between Quebec City and the Le Relais ski center. A panoramic 180 degrees that change with every day. A real immersion in the heart of nature awaits you. The micro-chalet runs on a 100 percent solar and propane system that is safe, high-performance, high-tech, and environmentally friendly. The water is drinkable and comes from an artesian well.
Helios has a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities including a fridge/freezer (regular size), gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, French press, and mobile island for 4 people, one bedroom (double sized bed), a sofa bed in the living room, a private bath with shower, an independent gas fireplace on each floor, air-conditioning on the second floor and a large terrace with a barbecue grill available summer and winter.
Please note that the cabin has no television, but does have a 10Mbps Wi-Fi connection. Also, cellular signal reception is excellent at the cabin, you will be able to make good use of your data plans.
The kitchen has salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, aluminum foil, wrapping film, paper towels, hand soap, alcohol-based antibacterial sanitizer, dish soap, and kitchen towels.
The bathroom has bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, bath mats, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial tissue, toilet paper, hand soap, and alcohol-based antibacterial sanitizer. The bedroom has a double-sized bed and open area with a sofa bed, pillows, duvets, and bedding. Also, clothes drying rack is available. There is a 9-foot interior electrical extension that is available for your small electrical appliances and/or your computer.
Note that the roads on the mountain are rustic, unpaved woodland roads, either gravel or dirt roads.
Although the roads are maintained throughout the year, this is a mountainous climate so you will want to be sure and follow the region's weather recommendations, depending on the season. In the winter months, winter tires are mandatory. For cycling enthusiasts, the Sentiers du Moulin outdoor center is renowned as one of the most beautiful mountain biking centers in Quebec.
