While the owners have done their best to make this an oasis and block out the surrounding area with the 8-foot decorative fence, you will want to note that the home is located in a residential/industrial area, and you will occasionally see activity at the gas station across the river, and hear trucks at the plant across the street. The owners feel that it is a small trade-out in exchange for the proximity to downtown and the river. You could find a quieter mountain cabin, but you would drive to everything downtown Waynesville has to offer.
