You'll still find today people who travel in this traditional horse-drawn wagon used by the British Romani people for use as their home. The British Romani tradition of the vardo wagon is seen culturally as being an artistic home design and a work of wood-crafting art. In its heyday, the gypsy living wagons lasted for about 70 years, from the mid-1800s through to the first two decades of the twentieth century.
