Overview of Heartside Village

The Heartside Village is a small cottage motel that is located in the quiet off the beaten path town of Bethlehem, New Hampshire. In 2018, they were open mid-May through to October 14th. The sixteen uniquely picturesque small cottages homes and their landscaped grounds are part of their appeal. Comprising of a miniature community, their small cottage homes are wonderfully quaint from the outside and comfortably cozy inside. Most of their guests had stayed with them before or were recommended by one of their guests, which attests to the comfort of cleanliness of their cottages. A common comment they get is that the cottage was the best night's sleep of their guest's vacation. They are proud to have been recognized by Frommer's Travel Guides as a great value, and they strive to live up to that designation. They also have earned several certificates of excellence from TripAdvisor.

Amenities and Features

They offer 24-hour onsite staff/reception, and daily housekeeping included in the room rate. Their small cottage homes vary in amenities. All of the tiny houses have heat, hot water and bathrooms with showers only. Air-conditioning units are installed in all of the small cottages homes. All of the small cottage homes also have color cable television. Many of the tiny houses have kitchenettes, but all of them have at least a refrigerator. Their kitchenette tiny cottages all have stovetops or microwaves (no ovens) and are all equipped with basic cooking and eating utensils. Most of the small cottage homes have fireplaces in which they allow duraflame-type logs only with no wood fires allowed. These logs are available in their office at a nominal charge. Bedding varies to include twins, 3/4's, doubles, queens and country kings. Most of their tiny houses are ideally suited for two people. However, a few of their guest units can accommodate more. There is parking included for one car per small cottage home.

Guest Experience and Local Attractions

Some of the features at the Cottage Motel include free Wi-Fi, hospitality room with area brochures and maps, a swimming pool (no lifeguard on duty), game room with ping pong table, outdoor play area for kids, and a picnic table beside each small cottage home and outdoor barbecuing is allowed. If you decide not to eat in, they are fortunate to have a variety of excellent and reasonably priced restaurants that are close by. Of course, there is also a selection of fast food options to try. They are always happy to share menus and offer suggestions. The Hearthside Village is not only a haven for tourists but has become popular for family get-togethers and for honeymoons too. As a general rule, they have a two-night minimum stay however exceptions are made. One-night stays are always welcome with no reservations when available.

Off-Season Rates

One of the best-kept secrets is their Off-Season Rates; they call it off-season because there are a lot fewer tourists in the area at this time of year. For many people, that is one of the best reasons to visit at that time of year. In 2018 the off-season ran from mid-May through to June 16th and after Labor Day through to September 20th. During the off-season, they offer the lowest rates of the year.
