The Happy Twogether steel shipping container home is beautiful inside and out.
The tiny house is made from two 20 foot repurposed steel shipping containers and provides a more traditional house layout than the typical tiny house on wheels. The steel shipping container tiny house was built by Custom Container Living located in Archie, Missouri. The main floor of the tiny house has a bedroom and living room which are in one steel container while the main entryway, the kitchen, and bathroom are in the other shipping container. There are tile floors in the entryway and the bathroom, and bamboo flooring throughout the rest of the tiny house.
The Happy Twogether has tongue-and-groove walls throughout the main part of the tiny house and corrugated metal in the bathroom. The custom kitchen cabinets in the tiny house are made from birch and stained a beautiful shade of green and blue, which adds a lot of color to contrast with the natural pine walls. The Happy Twogether is heated and cooled with a Mitsubishi Hyper heat system and has spray foam insulation in both the walls and ceiling. The base price for this shipping container model is $58,900.

All of the hardware and the faucets have a chrome finish, although you can upgrade to oil rubbed bronze or a brushed nickel finish at an additional cost. The front entry door of the steel shipping container home is 36 inches with a full view steel door, with a deadbolt. The back entry door is a 5-foot sliding glass door. The tiny house has two 3foot by 4 foot single hung white vinyl windows, with one 3by 5-foot window in the bedroom and one 3 foot by 3-foot window over the kitchen sink to let in plenty of natural light. The tiny house is wired with standard Romex wire with a 100 amp main breaker service panel and has the required number of outlets throughout, with one hard-wired smoke detector in the bedroom and the living room.
The Happy Twogether steel shipping container has a 12,000BTU air conditioner with a 10,600 BTU heating combo unit.
There is a 20-gallon electric water heater, closed-cell spray foam that are R-14 in the interior walls and R-28 in the roof. The shipping container has vinyl flooring that looks like wood flooring but can be upgraded to pre-finished real oak flooring for an additional cost. The ceilings are corrugated galvanized metal, and those too can be upgraded to V grooved wood at an additional cost. The Happy Twogether does not include furniture. The exterior of the steel shipping container home has a gable roof with classic rib 26 gauge metal, with the color chosen by the customer.
