Overview of the Kamanik Guesthouse

The Kamanik guesthouse is a beautiful cabin building located in Val-des-Monts, Quebec, Canada. The cabin building can accommodate up to 2 guests with 2 bedrooms, and one bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire cabin building to yourself. This lakeside retreat is self-check-in with a lockbox. This unique cabin building is the perfect place to get away and relax in a beautiful setting. The cabin has a loft master bed that overlooks idyllic lac, Brassard. The cabin building has high-speed wifi and Apple TV. The lake is non-motorized and ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing (bass/pike). It is easy lake access. The cabin has a Napoleon barbecue, a Bose sound system, a sauna, a full kitchen, and utensils. There is a trampoline, bikes, yoga, and stand up paddleboards (upon request). Ottawa is just 35 kilometers away.

Features and Amenities of the Guesthouse

This recently built three-story guest house cabin building is just a short drive from Ottawa with an amazing treetop loft bedroom. The cabin building is located on two acres of woods and a garden, totally separate from the main house. The Kamanik cabin building has its garden, a private deck, and a dedicated dock for swimming as well as a separate waterfront area. Amenities at the cabin building include a loft king bed, a ground floor murphy queen-sized bed, a gourmet kitchen that features new Miele appliances, a Bose sound system with inside/outside speakers; coffee makers of all sorts to include a regular drip coffee maker, a french press, stovetop expresso, and Nespresso.

Outdoor Activities and Shared Amenities

Other amenities at the cabin building include the fire pit, wood and gas fireplaces, dedicated kayaks, and a family canoe. The tranquility of the nonmotorized lake provides perfect swimming where you can dive off the dock or enjoy the easy walk-in access. There is a waterfall just a short swim from the Guest House dock which provides a natural jacuzzi, and wonderful views of lac Brassard. Shared amenities at the cabin building include a natural wood sauna and a trampoline. The guesthouse is perfect for that special, memorable couple, or family getaway.

Barbecue and Local Attractions

There is a Napoleon barbecue for outdoor barbecuing on the upper deck that overlooks the lake available with a central gas supply. Wood for the fire pit is available on an unlimited basis for your vacation stay at $60 (payable at check-in). Alternatively, guests to the cabin building can bring along their firewood available at a local grocery store. There are two new paddleboards and two bikes available to rent upon request. There is no cost for use of the family canoe or the 3 PVC kayaks. Guests have access to the 2 acres that surround the cabin building, the lake, and the cottage amenities. Wakefield is just a twenty-minute drive with well-organized mountain bike trails, downhill, and cross country skiing, golf, restaurants and pubs, music, and nearby Gatineau Park.
