The Whitepod located in Monthey, Switzerland is an eco-luxury hotel that features architecturally fascinating high-tech tents. The pods, separately sit on wooden platforms and are surrounded by nature at 1,400 metres above sea-level. This scenic location has unobstructed views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. Each eco pod is equipped with a pellet stove and all the comforts that you need. The eco-friendly luxury resort comprises 16 miles of marked trails, a Finnish sauna, two chalets, a restaurant, and a bar. Many of the activities at the resort can be enjoyed on site in both summer or winter.

The capsule-shaped eco pods are reminiscent of space stations with their ecological design and sustainable luxury. Every pod has a private viewing platform and bathroom, is supplied with spring water and heated with a wood chip furnace. Exclusive suites have Netflix access, hammocks and private sauna. The eco resort has a central chalet with a wellness area, bar and breakfast buffet. There is a private ski lift for guests. The Whitepod is located close-to-nature in a clearing with magnificent sweeping views. The restaurant uses local ingredients.

Location and Accessibility

The pod hotel is located in Switzerland at the foot of the Dents-du-Midi mountain range in the canton of Valais, in the village of Les Cerniers, at the beginning of the Swiss Alps. It is at a 45-minute drive from Montreux or an hour and a half drive from the Geneva airport. The hotel faces the ski resort Villars and stands above the city of Monthey. The Whitepod is 1,450 yards above sea level and offers a unique collection of pods anchored on a wooden platform. Each of the pods has a wood-burning stove and an en-suite bathroom. You can choose from the Deluxe pods, the Cosy pods or the Family pods. Each of the eco-pods has a floor-to-ceiling window the valley; there is also a small terrace at the entrance of the pod.

Skiing and Outdoor Activities

Whitepod manages the ski slopes which are exclusively open for all of its guests. The domain has two ski-lifts and 4 miles of red and blue slopes. There are 15.5 miles of signposted snowshoeing trails along with a sauna too. Other activities include dogsledding, paragliding, guided tour and massages that can be organized on-site. The Whitepod hotel includes a central chalet with a spa centre and a bar.
