Wildflowers continue to flourish across the Texas Hill Country. Place to see the wildflowers. The arrival and location of wildflowers is not always an exact science. Weather as well as other factors play a part in when and where the wildflowers will pop up each spring. One place to see the flowers is at the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. This 10 plus acres of natural landscape can be enjoyed from a one-mile walking trail along Live Oak Creek. There is a handicap-accessible trail that is about 500 feet in length connecting the bird feeding area and the butterfly habitat continues along the Vista Loop Trail. The diversity of habitats includes lakes, riparian woodland, post-oak savanna, and short grass meadows. A trail guide is available at the park office. No admission fee.
