The owners consider the property a Morganic farm, which means they go beyond organic cert standards to manage the whole property, with no chemicals having been sprayed in the last twenty years. The owners transformed this space from a family junkyard back in the mid-90s. It is a magical realm of creeks and wonderful trees, plants, and old cabin buildings. They like to host workshops and other events along the lines of health and farming. When you arrive, the owners like to invite guests of the cabin to meet their spring, where they get delicious drinking water. There is a fire pit and charcoal grill available for guest use. Guests should plan and bring their charcoal and firewood. Wood may be available for purchase on-site. You'll want to confirm firewood availability with hosts.

Exploring the Grounds and Surroundings

The gardens on the vacation property are open to your exploration, and it is just asked you to stay on paths and do not walk in their garden beds, the microbes will thank you. The cabin property is close to many wonderful outdoor areas and vineyards. The Talking Rock Nature Preserve is home to 10 plus miles of hiking/mountain biking trails and is located in the cabin neighborhood. This is a good jump-off point for Carter's lake, the Cohutta Wilderness, and many hiking and biking trails. This log cabin has a bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a mini-fridge, gas stove/oven, coffee maker, toaster, as well as all the basic cookware and dinnerware that you will need during your vacation stay.

The town of Talking Rock is located in Pickens County in northwest Georgia. It is the third smallest town in the state of Georgia and has not changed much since its beginning in 1883 when the train was the lifeline of the town.
