This rustic cabin getaway has all the comforts of home. This is the perfect location to either have the ultimate outdoor experience or just stay cozy inside and enjoy the rustic ambiance. This 8-acre property is close to a variety of outdoor attractions including the Kennerdell Overlook, Sandy Creek Bike Trail, and scenic Freedom Falls. Cozy Sandy Creek Cabin warmly welcomes you to come and unwind in this unique and authentic log cabin. This cabin is only about 1 year old and is situated on an 8-acre cleared property close to a variety of outdoor attractions.

Local amenities and activities include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, fishing, hunting, and biking.

A few miles down the road from this cabin you will find direct access to the Sandy Creek bike trail, which connects you to 42 miles of paved trails, giving bike access to the cities of Franklin, Oil City, Emlenton, and Foxburgh, along with countless river views and two railroad tunnels. Also just down the road are the Kennerdell Scenic overlook, Freedom Falls, and the historic Rockland iron furnace. Approximately 12 minutes away is the Cranberry shopping area which includes a Walmart, various stores as well as numerous restaurants.

During your vacation stay, you will have access to the entire cabin and backyard area.

You will be the only one staying on the 8-acre property. The neighbor's house and yard next door are separate from the cabin property and guests are not permitted on their property. Please keep in mind this is a very rustic cabin, you might see the odd ladybug or wasp, additionally, the logs are a bit rough so the walls and beams may not pass the white glove test. The water is very iron/metal heavy so please keep this in mind if you find you are sensitive to this. You may want to bring your own bottled water. There is a water filter pitcher in the fridge as well.

The cabin is located in a rural area with other yards nearby. The cabin is located approximately 100 yards from the road. The owners recently had a driveway put in and because of this, there are still piles of topsoil along the driveway. Kennerdell may not be as popular as other cities in the United States, but don’t let that fool you. Kennerdell is a smaller but beautiful upcoming tourist destination that is worth a visit. You will be surprised by some of the unique things to do and places you can explore at this hidden destination. You can plan a few days or more in this location while traveling to Pittsburgh or Northern Cambria. You might wish to revisit it someday again, to take a break and relax at Kennerdell.
