The log cabin can accommodate up to 5 guests with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and one bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire cabin building to yourself. This beautiful log cabin building sits on a private sunset-facing shoreline, filled with classic cabin details and many luxuries that will make your stay comfortable. Shop Tiny Homes This vacation cabin is perfect for a quick getaway, located about 20 minutes west of Interstate 35 and just two hours north of the Twin Cities, and about 1/2 hour from Duluth.
The cabin building has one bedroom a loft and can sleep up to six people with three queen-sized beds in two separate sleeping areas, with two beds in an open loft which is accessible by a ladder and one in the bedroom.
There are three levels to the wood cabin. There is a loft with ladder access, a window filled the main floor with a kitchen/living space and a stairway that leads to a walkout lower level with windows and doors on three sides that face the lake. While the cabin building can accommodate up to six people it is best for four people or fewer guests.
The cabin building has lakeshore western views from over 1000 square feet of wraparound decks with two tables with umbrellas and chairs.
There is also a sauna in separate cabin buildings, a wood stove, air conditioning, in-floor radiant heat, and a kitchen that is filled with high-end appliances. The cabin building is near three state parks to include Jay Cook, Moose Lake, and Savanna Portage and less than five minutes from the Fond Du Lac State forest with thousands of acres with snowmobile, endless ski, and hiking trails. There is a great fishing lake with nearly 300 acres and is connected to other local lakes, wetlands, and rivers. There are no pets allowed due to allergies.
Other nearby attractions include Blackbear casino, golf, history centers, whitewater rafting, and the amenities that are found in Duluth.
The cabin building is not suitable for parties or gatherings with more than six guests. The cabin building has wifi with relatively high speed. There is Hulu, Netflix, HBOGo and Amazon Prime streaming services that are available.
During your vacation stay you might visit the Jay Cooke State Park, with park trails that link up to the Willard Munger State Trail at the north edge of the park, perfect for bikers (both tour and mountain), backpackers, skiers, hikers, and horseback riders.
If you visit in the spring you can check out the wildflowers, in the Fall you can enjoy the vivid fall colors. Walk on the swinging suspension bridge that is high above the raging St. Louis River, or visit the historic cemetery and the gorge at Thomson Dam. Fond Du Lac State Forest is only about 3 miles north of the wood cabin, with countless miles of trails for both winter and summer use.
