You'll fall in love with this log cabin that sits on more than 150 acres of heavily treed land and is also sandwiched between 2,000 acres of crown land, residing on a dead-end road near the hamlet of Bergen, Alberta that recently sold.
The log home offers two bedrooms and three bathrooms, and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. The deck is perfect for sitting on and enjoying a morning coffee or drink in the evening, a lovely escape from the worries of the world. A cedar greenhouse is also on the property, helping to extend the growing season in addition to the large garden. Shop Tiny Homes The log home has such splendid rustic qualities, and plenty of antique items, too. The main floor’s bathroom is complete with an antique vanity. In the basement, there is a reclaimed 100-year-old tin ceiling and in the bathroom, there is a sink from 1930. The towel holder is also from the Banff Springs Hotel, just gem after gem in this place. The current owners have even ridden by horseback to Banff National Park without needing to cross any private land.
Banff and Lake Louise have a rich heritage as some of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations.
With easy access to pristine wilderness, endless outdoor adventures, jaw-dropping sights, and vibrant history and culture, there is a lifetime's worth of things to do in both Banff and Lake Louise. If you love nature including waterfalls, emerald lakes, alpine meadows, and snowcapped peaks this is the place to be. Banff is located in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. The townsite is surrounded by Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, Mount Norquay, and Cascade Mountain. From downtown Banff, you'll have access to hikes, the best Alberta hot springs (natural), horseback riding, great shopping, and of course good food.
With a variety of attractions in the Canadian Rockies, you'll want to experience Banff National Park to the fullest.
One way to do that is with Banff Adventures where you might traverse the massive Columbia Icefields in a special Ice Explorer vehicle. Take in the sweeping panoramic views as you walk over glass walkways on the Skywalk, ride in the Banff, Lake Louise, Sunshine gondolas, or the Mount Norquay Chairlift that overlooks the Banff townsite. You might experience 360-degree views from vantage points, learn interesting facts about the unique ecological system, and see the history of the planet etched in the stones beneath your feet.
Bergen is also located close to Sundre, Alberta which is right on Alberta’s famous Cowboy Trail and less than 90 minutes away from downtown Calgary, it is easy to visit and yet somewhat off the beaten track.
Nestled between the stunning Canadian Rockies and the rolling foothills and prairies of southern Alberta, Sundre and the surrounding area is a great place for those looking to get outdoors, enjoy the small-town atmosphere, and explore the beautiful natural areas that surround it. Whether you’re looking to learn about Alberta’s pioneering past at the museum, get up close and personal with horses, go golfing, or explore some of Alberta’s most beautiful and wild nature, Sundre is a great place to visit.
