Every part of the Rainbow Shackteau (also known as the Shack) has been hand-finished with detailed craftsmanship. From the spacious deck made from industrial pallets to the vintage tin wainscoting, the space is as unique as the ranch itself. In the morning you can feed our friendly goats just a short walk from your porch, or enjoy a full breakfast of free-range eggs and fresh milk. Breakfast items are provided and essentials are stocked for stays less than 1 week. The cabin also provides coffee, tea, essentials, and everything to make the Shack feel like home.

Private Canyon Access

You will have access to the property's private canyon (sometimes access is limited when the cows are grazing) and gardens in season. You have your private parking area, deck, and access to a shared laundry room. The Shack is located in Cane Beds, Arizona, a small rural community with beautiful views. Airbnb automatically sets the location as Fredonia because the two share the same zip code. Although this means you will be further from the north rim of the Grand Canyon, you will be 30 minutes closer to Zion, Bryce, and the Coral Pink Sand Dunes.

Farm Life and Guest Experience

The cabin is located in a rural area on a ranch and farm and has many animals and pets. Some are penned in and some are free-range like the owner's chickens and dogs. You may hear their dogs barking in the middle of the night or a rooster crow. You may hear coyotes laughing and yelping. The owners welcome you as their guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. However, farm life happens, so you will want to please try to be patient if unexpected issues arise during your vacation stay. They are always open to recommendations and comments/suggestions and strive to offer our guests a wonderful experience here.

Winter Precautions

In the wintertime, you may have an encounter with mice. While the owners do their very best to be vigilant to keep the cabin mouse free but occasionally they find ways to get in. There are also rattlesnakes in the area, so you will want to please be careful and watch out. Usually, the owners only see about one or two a year at the most, but they do like to caution people. If this is something that makes you uncomfortable it is probably not the rental for you.
