Woman Finds Freedom In A Forest Tiny Home

Embracing Freedom Through Tiny Living

You'll want to watch this tiny house video that showcases a remarkable woman who has found personal freedom through living in a remarkable tiny home set amongst the rainforest. This is a tiny house that has it all. The tiny house is beautifully constructed and filled with things that bring Christine joy, even including a piano. With this stunning tiny house as a launch pad, Christine has taken full advantage of her easy-to-care-for home and lower overheads to do more of the things that she loves, including travel and music. This is such a beautiful tiny home and you'll especially love the way that it has enabled Christine to double down on the things she loves doing in life.

Surrounded by Nature

The exterior of the tiny house is beautifully finished with a large outdoor wooden patio with space for planters, siding that combines wood with corrugated metal, surrounded by forest, and a large lawn. The owners love being surrounded by forest, in this private and secluded location. Christine also likes the idea that there is enough room on the property for other potential tiny homes as well, which would give the property more of a community feel especially in this location where they might lose power. The owner was inspired to build the tiny house at this stage in her life, as her children were all grown up, she was renting and didn't want to be paying rent or paying a large mortgage when she eventually retired. The tiny home would give her financial security and liked the idea that the home could move around if she had a piece of land to put it on.

Thoughtful Design and Features

The owner picked the particular tiny house design because they liked the cedar and the coloring. The tiny home is 9 feet wide, and 26 feet long. There is a storage box and bump out also on this tiny house design. The tiny home has a bi-fold door and bi-fold window design which opens the home to the outdoors further extending the space. The deck is a very innovative design that is built in sections that work like blocks put together with screws that can be undone, and moved to another location if needed. The tiny home also has a bump out with a tiny garage-style door with the future idea of putting solar in the space, for now, it is used as storage for gardening supplies and more.

Future Plans and Comforts

The owner's plan is eventually to go off the grid in the future. Once inside the tiny home, you immediately notice just how open the home looks and feels. The tiny home has plenty of windows to fill the space with light, and the owner even has a piano that she plays inside the space. The living area has a comfy couch, and the storage chest doubles as a coffee table. The home has a wood stove for heating, which keeps the entire tiny home dry and comfortable when needed, especially helpful as the tiny home is located in a rainforest.
