The Sanctuary of Light is a unique space, that is perfect for two, and accentuates the balance between natural and modern living. The bungalow is just a block away from Pensacola's largest park and bayou, a 5-minute drive from the downtown district, and a 15 minute trip to some of the worlds' whitest sand beaches, the neighborhood is one of the safest and most centrally located areas in Pensacola. The Sanctuary of Light has a kitchenette, a back patio and plenty of natural sunlight (as well as blackout shades) to enjoy during your stay. The owners have a dog named Reef who may welcome you, so you'll want to love dogs.

Central Location and Vibrant Neighborhood

The Sanctuary of Light is a private guesthouse that is central to all of Pensacola. The bungalow is located in a vibrant historic neighborhood that is very close to downtown and next to the Bay Bridge for a quick route to Pensacola Beach. Pensacola's largest park is just a block away on Bayou Texar and guests of the vacation rental can enjoy tennis courts, kayak, and paddle board rentals and walk through the paths underneath the trees.

Nature Meets Urban Living

The cozy space has the best of both worlds as it is located in the urban center, but has mature native landscaping and ponds that create an environment for tons of birds and frogs to integrate the space with nature. The owners have created a space that they truly love, and are happy to share. Guests to the Sanctuary of Light have full private access to the guesthouse and can come and go as they please. The Sanctuary of Light is located behind the owner's home and they have given special attention to privacy to ensure a very intimate setting. Guests can also message the owners to coordinate laundry which is located in the main house.

Vibrant Energy of East Hill

East Hill is a historic neighborhood in Pensacola but also has young vibrant energy like nowhere else in town. Many of the homes in the area have little signs that read I love living in East Hill and people who live there are constantly running, walking, and biking everywhere. The East Hill neighborhood is very safe during the day and night and it's central to everything you need. The owner truly believes it's the best place in town and that is why they love living here. There is safe car parking is available on the street in front of the house during your stay. Uber is also available in town and the fair to and from the airport and typically costs under $20. The Sanctuary of Light is less than a 5-minute drive to downtown where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars with an excellent nightlife. Bayview Park is located just a block away, about a one-minute walk. Pensacola Beach is a 15 to 20-minute drive depending on the traffic.
