Historical Significance and Design

This unique complex of cave houses used to serve as the old bakery of the Greek settlement and is located close to the main pedestrian street of Oia. The cave house vacation rental was originally renovated for personal use by the local craftsmen, with the house perfectly combining traditional style with comfort. The plasticity of its forms, along with the use of local building techniques, built-in beds and the selection of antique furniture together with the modern amenities is the perfect balance between coziness and sophistication. Unique Layout and Bedrooms

The original path of the cave house was naturally created by the cliff structure and connects the two caves which form this unique home design that leads to the master bedroom, on the other side of the unique house, while still maintaining the original architectural plan. There is a private entrance, with two windows and a door that separates this space from the rest of the tiny house, this bedroom is bright and spacious and comfortably fits an oak queen size bed, an antique bookcase, a large deck with a chair, and a handcrafted mirror. Both of the bedrooms in this unique vacation rental are equipped with high-quality latex mattresses.

Comfortable Living Spaces

In the living room, there is a warm and relaxing corner that has been created by the two large built-in sofa beds which easily accommodates two for sleeping and the square beech wood coffee table. On the side, there is a solid, oak wood dining table which is surrounded by a wooden and a built-in bench, that comfortably sits six for dining, right next to the fully equipped kitchen. There is an oven, ceramic hot plates, a refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, and cutlery to ensure your stay will be as convenient as possible. The bathroom is deeply carved into the cave house with off a white local stucco technique and marble that comes from Crete that is handcrafted into a marble washbasin and rain shower.

Outdoors, there are private terraces that expand on different levels on the rim of the caldera, which creates unique angles and comfortable paces to sit.
