Thoughtful Design and Spaciousness

Every detail in the small cottage has been thought out and is well furnished and surprisingly spacious for its 350 square feet of space. The tiny house is just far enough away from the main house and is very private. The owners designed this small cottage plan themselves, and it took over a few years to design and build. The overall concept of the tiny house design started with the red metal fireplace that is in the center of the space. The small cottage plan was built around it.

Unique Features and Natural Light

There is plenty of natural light throughout the small cottage plan even in the shower and water closet. The eyebrow windows in the tiny house are especially unique and are antique. Atop the cupola on the roof of the small cottage plan is a nod to the owner's dear departed West Highland Terrier, Jed who loved this space in the yard. There is a hand-hammered copper weathervane with a 24-carat gold collar, engraved Jed. The small cottage porch is either lighted by carriage lights, or by downlights.

Comfortable Accommodations and Amenities

The queen-sized bed is extremely comfortable, with a pillow top mattress and 464 thread count sheets. During your vacation stay both down and poly pillows are provided. The small cottage plan has a large flatscreen television with cable next to the bed and swivels for viewing from any part of the cottage studio. The tiny house has original fine art, vintage objects, and vintage art throughout. Adjacent to the living space in the small cottage is a kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, full-size dishwasher, and sink. There is a large kitchen counter that serves as either an eating area or a workspace.

Culinary Convenience and Restrictions

The small cottage has a Keurig machine for coffee or tea, and a hot pot available, along with a selection of teas and coffee complimentary. The bathroom is very large and was designed as an amalgamation of all of the many hotels the owners have enjoyed through the years. This vacation place isn't suitable for children under 12 and the host doesn't allow for parties, pets, or smoking.
