It also has dormers as one of the distinguishing features on the exterior, which also provides plenty of room for the upstairs bedrooms in the floor plan. There is also a 17 foot by 12-foot loft in the upstairs area of the log home, which would be a great space for a seating area or a small games or craft room. The loft balcony overlooks the downstairs area giving the home an open and airy feeling which expands the space of the home exponentially.

Attached Garage and Workshop

The Homestead log home model also features an attached garage and an office or workshop space that leads into the kitchen and dining room area. This would be perfect for families who enjoy woodworking or any other type of hands-on hobbies that need adequate space for tools and materials. On the exterior of the log home, there is a wrap around deck that goes all the way around the front and one side, extending into the back of the home. Having a large deck like this one is especially great for enjoying as much time outside as possible when the weather is pleasant, awesome for barbecues and gatherings and for mornings to just enjoy relaxing outside. The complete log home packages are the most popular option, and they include everything needed to complete building cabins or luxury log homes.

Energy Efficiency and Environmental Benefits

Log homes are some of the most stunning homes in the world. They are not only beautiful looking, but they also have high ratings when it comes to energy efficiency and being environmentally friendly. Logs have one of the highest thermal mass ratings in the building world. This means that the logs that make up the walls of a home are able to keep int the thermal mass created by the heat output within a home. This means less money spent on heating costs to keep the home warm, and it also works in the summer to keep the hot air out and the cool air in. A log home is a very worthy investment to consider to bring decades of enjoyment and use.
