Creating a Unique Tiny House Vision

This adorable tiny house on wheels is a cross between a hobbit, and fantasy styled tiny house in a style that goes above and beyond. The client, Jenn James is a sweet and whimsical individual who had a wild imagination and a dream to create a one of a kind unique tiny house on wheels like never before. From the tiny house exterior aesthetic to the interior design this tiny house was like nothing the tiny house builders had done before, but even with all the out of the ordinary tiny house design choices, the house came together so nicely that they fell more in love with it each step of the way.

Whimsical Design Elements

The top words used to describe James' tiny house design vision were whimsical and fantasy, the builders had to get creative and bust out some unorthodox tiny house design choices to bring her aesthetic to life. The tiny house has high contrasting building materials with mystical colors that were the top choices to add that whimsical touch that James wanted. In the kitchen, the builders decided to go with purple kitchen cabinets with various colors of tiles with a little sparkle in them. That combined with a granite countertop with a naturally rough edge paved the way for the statement they were going for. On the right side of the kitchen, the room was left open except for the corner fireplace with a traditional exposed black chimney vent. After a late-night of staging the tiny house, they had the opportunity to start up the fireplace and dim the lights and it was without a doubt one of the more cozy setups they had ever experienced.

A Fairytale Spa Bathroom

On the other end of the tiny house kitchen is the castle-like spa bathroom. The bathroom used veneer slate tile lines on the floors and walls with an arched pop out for the bathroom sink that makes it truly feel like your walking into a fairytale. To top it all off, the bathroom has a copper clawfoot soaking tub that makes this bathroom one of the builder's favorites. The decided upon a unique way to get James up to the master loft by using a spiral staircase for the perfect touch. The loft is completed with arched windows, a skylight and a locally sourced handcrafted twig railing that makes this loft have whimsically written all over it.

Inspiration from Tudor Architecture

The exterior of Jame's tiny house on wheels was very important to her. She wanted the tiny house to look and feel like you were back in time whenever you looked at it. So together, they drew inspiration from many different architectural designs but decided Tudor was the best fit for the tiny house design. It's such a unique style but it finished off the tiny house design quite perfectly. The Tudor style tiny house design is 8 feet 6 inches wide, 13 feet 6 inches tall, and 24 feet long. The beautifully finished Tudor tiny house design has an elegant quality that sets it apart from other tiny houses you will see.
