The houseboat vacation rental is a 36 by 6m ship house that has an upstairs on the upper deck and we live in the main family residence downstairs in the hull. (*' saloon' = the social cabin for first-class passengers). Somaya's Saloon is one-of-a-kind and is situated upstairs in the large steering hut of our classic ship. Somaya's Saloon has its separate entrance and is completely private & self-sufficient. It's JUST YOU upstairs, so you are always our only & exclusive guests! You have the 'suite' luxury of your bathroom, kitchenette, double bed, sofa & lounge area in a 45m2 blend of crisp design with a classic touch. Somoya's Saloon can accommodate 2 adults very comfortably.

Somoya's Saloon vacation rental offers great views of the harbor, from the east to Central Station, plus the boat has a large 60 square meter south-facing sun-deck where you can catch the sun in the morning and scenic views at night.

From the deck, you can enjoy your morning coffee with a view, and at night watch the skyline from the comfort of your home away from home. Most guests end up spending much more time on the houseboat than they had originally planned. The houseboat rental is close to all sorts of activities, from walking, swimming in the harbor, and renting SUP boards. Some trams and buses stop close by and you can easily walk into town. There are also free bicycles which are the best way to get around town and add to your freedom and authentic Amsterdam experience.
