The Lodge: The Heart of the Yurt Retreat

The Lodge is the community building that sits at the heart of the Yurt Retreat. Then there are four Yurts that are tucked around the Lodge at the edge of woodland that people can rent out for vacations. The Lodge has an outside sink for washing up after a day spent outdoors in the beautiful countryside. There is even a lounge on the roof of the cottage where you can sit to read or watch a film on their comfy giant bean bag chairs. They have also just upgraded the television to a Samsung smart TV, with a DVD player to watch movies or shows. They have deliberately chosen not to have access to cable as they feel that the setting so beautiful that it should be enjoyed. This beautiful country log cabin has all of the amenities of a regular home too which makes it more accommodating than many of the more rustic cabins and cottages.

Modern Amenities and Relaxation

You will find a bathroom upstairs in the lounge with a shower in it and three of the Yurts on the property use the showers in the Lodge. The showers are powered by a state of the art German Solar hot water system and are all spacious double showers. Each shower is private to your specific Yurt so guests can leave their toiletries and towels right in the bathroom. The country setting of these yurts is perfect whether you choose to enjoy a walk through the rolling countryside, sit around the campfire and watch the stars, or light up the barbeque. The Yurt Retreat is a perfect place to unwind and relax.

Extensive Amenities for Special Occasions

Some of the amenities you will find at the Lodge log house designs include the refrigerator, stove, cutlery and crockery, pots, pans, oven dishes, big salad bowls, chopping boards, knives, graters and more. You also have Wifi, iron and ironing board, an honesty box for the log store, umbrellas, television with DVD player, a library to browse and more. This would be a great place to celebrate a wedding or spend time with family and friends. These cozy yurts also provide a nice quiet place to spend time and make some memories with family and friends. While you are staying in these log cabin designs, you might enjoy some of the local activities such as foraging tours, archery, horseriding, coarse fishing, polo, zorbing, rib rides and fishing trips. Close by there is also golf, paintball, a luxury spa and cookery classes to try. Doesn't that sound like the perfect relaxing vacation?

Exploring the Surrounding Area

The area that surrounds The Yurt Retreat is the location of South Somerset close to the Dorset and Devon Jurassic Coast. You can stay in either the Cedar, Hazel, Larch, or Willow yurt at the retreat but each of the yurts is fairly similar in style and size. If you'd prefer to stay in something different than a yurt they also have the Shepherd's huts which are tiny houses and the Luxury Treehouse too which are also incredible places to stay.
