The wood cabin rental space is a cozy basement Mother-in-Law apartment that is located just 10 blocks from the heart of downtown Anchorage in the Fairview Neighborhood. Shop Tiny Homes This vacation rental is great for getting a good night's rest in the land of the midnight sun. The vacation apartment rental has everything you need to feel at home including a full-sized kitchen with breakfast foods, a living room with a flat-screen television with Netflix and DVDs, wifi internet access, a bedroom with one queen-sized bed with duvet and fresh white linens. The apartment rental has a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and shampoo. The tiny apartment has your separate entrance to the apartment.
The apartment rental has a young family with a toddler and a new baby that live above the apartment.
So you will most likely hear some activity from above. The owners try to keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 9 am. If you need the family to be extra quiet at certain times of the day or night they will try their best to accommodate. Also, this is an older style home so the floor can at times be creaky. The bathroom has a short ceiling, so if you are a tall person, you may have to crouch down a little in there. The apartment rental shower has extra headspace though so you don't have to crouch down in there. The vacation rental has a private entrance.
You enter the cozy apartment through the rear entrance (which has a deadbolt) and then go downstairs to your vacation space where there is a door, but it does not have a working lock on it.
The house upstairs also has a door that separates the home from the rear entrance. So you don’t have to enter the owners living space to get to your apartment. The owners also frequently use the rear entrance through to get to the backyard, so that space is shared. The kitchen has a fan/fire alarm, with the fire alarm sometimes going off when people cook. If you turn on the fan on the bottom of the microwave, the fire alarm won’t go off.
There is a great public park for kids just around the corner from the vacation house.
You will also find the best-fried chicken/malts in town just 2 blocks away at the Lucky Wishbone. There is a live music venue/bar that is 2 blocks away with live music most nights of the week called Van's Bar. The local public transit The People Mover has stops in the neighborhood. The vacation rental is about a 20-minute walk to the heart of downtown, and it is very affordable to get a taxi/uber ride to downtown as well.
