The Alder is a studio unit in a duplex cabin with a king-sized bed, a sitting area with a pull-out sofa bed, and a gas fireplace.

Each cabin is unique, and there is a combination of one, two, and three-bedroom units available. You can choose from cabins with stone fireplaces, picture windows with breathtaking views, or the sounds of a meandering stream outside the window.

Due to Mountain Sky Guest Ranch’s unique location, guests often choose to extend their vacation stay in Montana before or after visiting the ranch to further explore this beautiful region. For anyone seeking the culture of museums and fine dining, the towns of Livingston and Bozeman, with their rich western history, set the perfect stage. Livingston’s restaurants offer some of the finest western cuisines, and the Depot Museum, as well as the quaint shops on Main Street, bring the old west to life. The town of Bozeman, Montana is set in one of the state’s most stunning regions and boasts the beautiful campus of Montana State University.
The days pass easily hiking in the Rocky Mountains, discovering the world-renowned work of paleontologist Jack Horner at the Museum of the Rockies, or shopping along the streets of historic downtown Bozeman.
You may also enjoy a tour of the Lewis and Clark Caverns near Three Forks. With the ranch's crew of good-natured and fun-loving wranglers, there is no shortage of excitement in store. Trail rides are offered twice daily, lasting anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Riders are grouped by ability level and are always accompanied by a wrangler. Whether you are saddling up for the first time, or have ridden for many years, you’ll find a style of riding to suit you at Mountain Sky. Guests wishing for a full day of riding can opt for the all-day ride during the spring and fall seasons or the lunch ride during the summer. Offered once a week, guests enjoy a morning spent riding to a destination where they will enjoy lunch on the trail.
